Asthma model
Nova’s Asthma model describes the immune response following a provocation by an allergen and leading to airway inflammation and subsequent decrease of lung functions.
Nova’s Asthma model describes the immune response following a provocation by an allergen and leading to airway inflammation and subsequent decrease of lung functions. The inter-species nature of the model was calibrated to reproduce the dynamics of 11 key immune variables in mice and humans. This allows the translation of preclinical findings into predictions of treatment effect in a clinical setting.
Future development will include the integration of asthma exacerbations as well as phenotypically different populations of asthmatic virtual patients.
