Frederic Cogny graduated with a Master’s in Applied Mathematics, specializing in Probabilities and Finance, from École Polytechnique in Paris.

Over the following 12 years, he honed his expertise in financial market modeling and quantitative trading while based in London, Tokyo, and Singapore. His most prominent role during this period was as Managing Director at Standard Chartered Bank, where he led diverse teams comprising traders, quantitative analysts, computer scientists, and IT engineers. His leadership focused on developing robust, efficient, and scalable analytics and trading frameworks.

In 2016, Frederic transitioned to the role of Chief Technology Officer at Novadiscovery. His initial task was to streamline and enhance the company’s research and development processes. He successfully built a dedicated team of technical and quantitative developers who created a sophisticated clinical trial simulation library.

Starting in 2020, Frederic took on additional responsibilities as Chief Product Officer, directing his focus towards product development and the architectural design of the Jinkō platform.

Now as Co-CEO alongside Grégoire Boutonnet & CPO of Nova In Silico, Frederic is dedicated to cultivating a cohesive and dynamic corporate culture, grounded in transparency and open communication. Together with Grégoire, he aims to foster a shared vision and purpose throughout the organization, ensuring all strategic initiatives align with their overarching mission.

Grégoire Boutonnet holds a Master’s degree in Fundamental Physics from Pierre and Marie Curie University.

With over two decades of experience in innovation, strategy, and digital entrepreneurship, Grégoire has a proven track record in building and scaling technology-driven companies. He began his career as the founder and CEO of Andrexen, an innovative Unified Communications cloud platform that he successfully expanded to over 10 countries worldwide. Following Andrexen’s acquisition by Cirpack in 2015, Grégoire took on the role of Chief Marketing and Product Officer, where he drove the company’s market positioning and product strategy.

Most recently, Grégoire served as Chief Strategy Officer at Experty.io, a blockchain-based knowledge sharing platform, where he focused on strategic growth initiatives and technological advancements.

As Co-CEO of Nova In Silico alongside Frederic Cogny and Chief Operating Officer, Grégoire is dedicated to ensuring the company’s operational excellence and strategic growth. He leads the business development & partnering team and the Modeling and Simulation (M&S) group, guiding it through its next phase of expansion. François-Henri Boissel is a seasoned executive with over 20 years of experience in the financial services and life sciences industries. He is the co-founder and former CEO of Novadiscovery, a leading provider of in-silico drug discovery solutions.

Prior to founding Novadiscovery, François-Henri spent four years with investment bank Lehman Brothers in London and Tokyo, where he developed an expertise in financial engineering, deal structuring, and execution. He has participated in securitization deals across a wide range of assets, representing total completed financings in excess of $500 million USD in Europe and Asia.

As Novadiscovery’s co-founder and CEO from 2010 to 2024, François-Henri honed a variety of skills ranging from corporate strategy to business development, corporate governance, and people management. He led the company through a period of rapid growth building a team of world-class scientists and engineers and under François-Henri’s leadership, Novadiscovery developed a first-of-its-kind in-silico technology platform jinkō.

Now a Brand ambassador for Nova In Silico, François-Henri is tasked with developing and deepening relationships with Sponsors and Strategic Partners to source and expand new business opportunities.

Julie holds two Master’s degrees: an MSc in Engineering from ESIL (France), majoring in Biotechnology, and an MSc in Business from Kedge Business School (France), majoring in International Business.

Julie began her career at the Trade Office of the French Embassy (Business France) in San Francisco, where she supported French biotech companies with their business development activities. Over the following six years, she built an extensive network in the life sciences industry across the US and Europe, gaining deep insights into a variety of innovative technologies.

In 2018, Julie returned to France and joined Novadiscovery to bolster the company’s sales activities. Her strategic vision and dedication to fostering client relationships were instrumental in driving the company’s growth.

By 2022, Julie was promoted to Vice President of Business Development and relocated back to the US. Now based in New York, she oversees global business development activities for Nova In Silico. Julie is dedicated to advancing the company’s mission by leveraging her expertise and network to forge strong partnerships and drive strategic initiatives.

Jim has spent over 15 years advancing systems biology modeling and advocating its adoption in pharmaceutical research. Prior to joining Novadiscovery he founded and ran a systems biology modeling consulting company, Clermont, Bosley LLC, serving major pharma/biotech. Prior to this, Jim served as Vice President of Modeling and Simulation at Rosa & Co., as Sr. Director of Software Products for Pharsight, as a Consulting Engineer for Entelos and as a Senior Engineer in DuPont’s BioChemical Science and Engineering group. He has written several articles and book chapters on QSP modeling.

Jim holds a PhD (Chem. E.) from the University of Texas at Austin, an MSc (E.E.) from the University of California-Irvine, and a BSc (Chem. E.) from the University of Wisconsin. He has taught courses, and is an affiliated faculty member, at the University of Delaware. As SVP Modeling and Simulation, Jim is supporting Nova In Silico’s expert modelers and programmers with both an understanding of the current state of the art technology, but also with innovative modeling ideas.

Emmanuel has more than 20 years of pharmaceutical industry and academic experience.

He is in charge of strengthening Nova In Silico’s relationships with pharmaceutical companies to understand their specific requirements for incorporating in silico technology into existing clinical development programs with a view to streamlining the development process through smaller, more effective clinical trials. He also works with regulatory authorities to develop protocols to aid pharmaceutical companies in including clinical simulation data into regulatory dossiers for new drug applications.

Jean-Pierre Boissel is a cardiologist by training and a pioneer in the field of in silico medicine.

He holds a distinguished career as an Emeritus Professor of Clinical Pharmacology at Claude Bernard University Lyon 1 and has served as a Scientific Director at the French Institute for Health and Medical Research (Inserm). Jean-Pierre was also an advisor to the General Surgeon.

As a co-founder and Chief Scientific Officer of Novadiscovery, Jean-Pierre has made significant contributions to the development and implementation of innovative solutions in therapeutic evaluation, cardiology, and systems medicine. He is recognized as one of the founding fathers of systems medicine, alongside renowned international experts.

Jean-Pierre’s career is marked by numerous groundbreaking achievements, including designing and directing the first randomized multicenter clinical trial in France for cardiology, pioneering methodologies in clinical trial design, and advancing the field of personalized medicine. His work has laid the foundation for many modern practices in clinical research and therapeutic evaluation.

In his role as Scientific Ambassador at Nova In Silico, Jean-Pierre actively promotes and evangelizes the in silico field globally. He provides invaluable scientific advisory support, leveraging his extensive experience and insights to guide the company’s research directions. Jean-Pierre’s influence extends beyond Nova In Silico, as he continues to inspire and educate the global scientific community on the transformative potential of in silico methodologies.

Claudio holds an MSc in Pharmacology and Clinical Trials Modeling from the University of Lyon, France. He joined Novadiscovery in 2012 and pursued a PhD in computational biology, playing a central role in many of Novadiscovery’s key modeling projects. His work includes contributions to EU-funded initiatives such as SysCLAD and PREDICTIV, along with collaborative projects with biotech firms and major pharmaceutical companies.

His expertise covers various aspects of systems biology, with a particular focus on immune system modeling and metabolic disorders, including non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD). More recently, Claudio has shifted his research emphasis to cancer modeling, specifically targeting non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). In 2023, he spearheaded the NSCLC project that achieved groundbreaking prospective predictions for phase III clinical trials, namely FLAURA2 and MARIPOSA.

As the Head of Content at NOVA, Claudio now manages a comprehensive library of models. His responsibilities encompass overseeing both internal development and external contributions, ensuring the platform remains at the forefront of computational biology innovation.

Riad holds the position of Executive Manager and Head of Biostatistics at Nova. He is an MD and has a PhD in clinical pharmacology from Université Claude Bernard Lyon 1, France. Additionally, he holds MSc degrees in pharmacogenetics from Universitat de Barcelona, Spain, and in pharmacology and therapeutic innovation from Université Claude Bernard Lyon 1, France. With over 14 years of modeling experience at Nova, he oversees the biostatistics group, ensuring rigorous validation methodology for project delivery.

With expertise in both statistics and modeling & simulation, Riad managed numerous projects across various therapeutic areas such as immunopathology, oncology, cardiovascular, respiratory, hepatology, and infectious diseases. He specializes in modeling and analyzing simulation results from phases II, III, and IV as well as in silico clinical trials. Riad monitors the data management process throughout the project lifecycle and incorporates Real-World Evidence methods into the analysis of in silico-generated data. Proficient in statistical methodology, including descriptive and inferential statistics, parametric and non-parametric methods, multivariate models, and survival analysis, he ensures comprehensive data interpretation.

Since 2020, Riad brings his years of domain expertise to the development of the jinkō platform. As Product Owner and expert clinician-statistician consultant, he leads the development of the platform’s analysis and visualization functionalities for clinical trials data.

Lara graduated from CentraleSupelec with a MSc in biotech engineering. She joined Nova in 2017 for her end of studies internship, where she worked on modeling the bile acid metabolism. Since then, she has worked on various projects at Nova, including hepatitis B virus, graft versus host disease and later managing projects on influenza vaccine and antibody-drug congugates in solid cancers. As a successful scientist and recognized by her peers as a team player and project leader, Lara rose to the position of executive manager.

She then transitioned to work as a product owner on the Jinkō platform, bringing her dual expertise as a biomodeler and engineer to formalize and streamline scientific concepts into an intuitive product, with a specific focus on tools tied to modeling and simulation, such as model creation, edition, and calibration.

Jean brings over two decades of expertise in computer science and software engineering to his role at Nova In Silico, where he has a knack for nurturing talent and fostering innovative workplace cultures. As Head of Engineering, he leads the Scientific Software Engineering (SSE) team, guiding the development of cutting-edge scientific software solutions.

Jean’s journey in tech began with founding a startup during the early web industry days, followed by impactful projects for various tech companies and NGOs. Since joining Nova in 2011, he has been pivotal in developing key software solutions, including Nova’s first SaaS for scientific knowledge management in 2015. As Lead Engineer from 2018, he assembled a team of exceptionally talented engineers to lay the foundation for Nova’s flagship platform, Jinkō.

Currently, Jean merges his business acumen with a deep commitment to enhancing developer experiences, driving strategic operations, and nurturing a culture of continuous improvement and sustainable delivery of high-quality product and services. He creates an environment that promotes ownership, trust, cooperation and transparency, where a common vision brings together diversity of skills and culture.

His expertise in managing large-scale financial operations and implementing rigorous financial processes has significantly contributed to enhancing organizational efficiency and profitability.

In 2020, François brought his talents to Novadiscovery, initially serving as a Financial Controller. His contributions were pivotal to the company’s growth, leading to his promotion to Head of Finance and Administration. Tanguy holds a MSc in Business Strategy from the Sorbonne University and a Diploma in Information Architecture from ENS Lyon. He has over 15 years of experience in digital projects and product management, with a strong focus on user-centered approaches. In Canada, he worked for consulting agencies for 8 years, managing complex digital platform projects, heading a UX team and overseeing the digital strategy of major clients. Returning to France in 2016, he then took on a product management role for a leading SaaS company, successfully launching 2 new product lines.

Since joining Novadiscovery in 2020, Tanguy has been actively involved in structuring the product team by coaching domain experts on product management practices, supporting the engineering teams in setting up agile processes, building a new product experience team and driving user research initiatives to help inform the roadmap.

At Nova In Silico, he furthers product and continuous discovery endeavors, leads the product design team and supports marketing initiatives. He also takes on the role of product owner for jinkō’s knowledge management module as well as for cross-user workflows and features in the platform.

Simon graduated from Ecole Polytechnique, Paris and holds a PhD in Systems Biology from ESPCI, Paris. Since he joined Nova in 2019, he has been involved in a variety of modeling projects, across various stages of drug development, and with a focus on immune dysregulation and infectious diseases.

Some examples of his work include a modelling study that explored the impact of non-pharmaceuticals interventions against COVID-19 on clinical trials in respiratory diseases, a simulation study that tried to determine determinants of response in atopic dermatitis or a translational modeling study aiming at bridging the gap between animal models and clinical setting in asthma.

As Head of Scientific Solutions, Simon primary focus is ensuring projects are executed efficiently and meet established performance goals. He fosters a collaborative environment and actively seeks opportunities to enhance both the scientific quality and productivity of the projects’ outputs.
